We as an organization would like to be a dependably port of service in terms of technical support for our buses in order for our citizens in Ankara to have a more pleasant and safe trip.

  • To provide the goods and services needs of our units in within department without compromising on quality, also do it in a fast, economical and transparent manner,
  • To meet the stationery, hardware and office equipment needs of our units without compromising the quality while ensuring the principles of transparency and deliver in the shortest amount of time,
  • To provide the maintenance and repair needs for all of the vehicles in our establishment, for the least expensive costs and in the least amount of time,
  • To increase the satisfaction of the employees in our organization,
  • To improve business efficiency by conducting business analysis and job descriptions and encouraging teamwork,
  • To encourage the inspection of the work carried out,
  • To take measures that provide the economic use of energy and water,
  • To promote the use of scientific knowledge and international rules of ethics in the works put forth.

 
 
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT
General Directorate of EGO formed by Laws No. 4325 and 5363 and administered according to the principles in these laws and special legal provisions and is associated with the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. The General Directorate of EGO, having legal personality and serving the public, has formally established our department on August 16th 2012, by the Council's Decision No. 1331 and we began to actively operate on May 7th 2013.

 

Our Department operates under the management of five branches. Within our department, we  employ civil service officers and BELKA employees as a part of our staff. 

 

Our main repair shop, which provides service within our department moved to its' new location in 2012. The new facility in Macunköy that was taken over is a total of 8,650 m2 of closed area that has repair shops designed with a modern service concept. The facility includes lifting jacks for 28 solo and 5 articulated buses for a total of 33 channels and carries out maintenance activities in this facility with equipment for brake testing, lateral shift, axle clearance, lights controllers, chassis clamping assembly, machines for washing parts, overhead cranes and a central lubrication system.  Also, at the end of last year with the addition of new on-the-spot repair equipment and tow trucks added to the organization allow for immediate roadside assistance service to the un-operable vehicles.

 

In addition, the Council of Administration formally established the Machinery Supply Branch and its' duties and responsibilities with the Council's Decision No. 1331 and dated August 16th, 2013. This branch actually began operations on July 5th 2013 serving the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Department. On the order and confirmation of the Department Manager, the Branch Supervisor performs the following tasks:

 

a) Classification of materials and its' types, preparation of the catalogs and when necessary provide definitions and usage of materials, also monitor to ensure the necessary changes,
b) Receive by inspection and acceptance of the goods acquired by the spending unit by counting, weighing or measuring according to the type and nature of goods, also responsible for maintenance of the goods in the warehouse that are not directly consumable or not given for use,
c) Receive by thoroughly checking the goods delivered that inspection and acceptance procedures can not be done immediately for,
d) Keeping records of goods received and issued, document and edit books for these goods, sending the goods management account books to the consolidation officers,
e) Issue the goods that are deemed appropriate for consumption or use  to the appropriate party,
f) Ensure and take necessary precautionary measures to protect against fire, theft, humidity and other damage of goods,
g) Notify the losses due to theft or extraordinary reasons that occur in the warehouse to authorized expenditure officer,
h) Since this branch is newly established the staff working in the Machine Supply Branch is temporarily being used from the Main Repair Shop personnel, staff transfers will be made as soon as possible.
