Mayor Of Ankara
The new mayor of Ankara, Assoc.Prof.Dr Mustafa Tuna was born in 1957 in Şarkışla. He was graduated from İstanbul Technical University as civil engineer.
In 1982, he got the title of Certified Engineer from the department of Environmental Engineering, faculty of Civil Engineering, ITU and studied in the USA between 1982 and 1983. He fulfilled all the academic requirements by completing his dissertation on ‘Wastewater treatment plant cost index and debit-cost relations’ and got the title of ‘doctor certified engineer’ from The Institute of Science, ITU, in 1995.
Having received the title of ‘associate prof.’ in 1998, Mustafa Tuna continued his academic studies on environmental technology, infrastructure planning and engineering economy.
Mustafa Tuna has won the incentive award from TUBITAK as he had many national and international scientific citations.
He was the Member of Parliament for Ankara between 2002 and 2007 and during this time he had several international contacts as a member of AGİTPA Turkish Group. He was elected as mayor of Sincan Municipality in local elections in 2009 and 2014.
